Digging Out What Needs to Come Out
Excavation is the digging work that goes beyond grading removing dirt and material to a specific depth for footings, foundations, utility work, and anything that needs to come out of the ground rather than just be leveled. We handle excavation for residential and commercial projects throughout the Central Valley, digging to the depth and dimensions your project calls for, and hauling off material or setting it aside for backfill, whichever the job needs. Once the digging's done, the site is left ready for the next phase. Whether that's a foundation going in, a line being run, or backfill and compaction closing it back up. Every job starts with a free on-site quote.

Digging Out What Needs to Come Out
Excavation covers any job where dirt has to come out of the ground, not just get reshaped on the surface. DemoRex provides excavation throughout Fresno, Clovis, Sanger, and the Central Valley for residential and commercial projects, pool dig-outs, foundation and footing digging, septic tank excavation, utility trenches, dig-outs tied to a demolition or removal project, and general excavation of any kind the project calls for.
Every excavation is dug to the depth, width, and shape the job requires. Foundation and footing digs follow the plans to the inch, so what gets poured on top has the exact dimensions it needs. Pool dig-outs go as deep and as wide as the pool design calls for, cut clean enough that the shell or liner installer inherits a hole that matches spec. Septic tank excavation means digging to the depth and location required for the tank and its connections, working around what's already on the property and what's going in next. Whatever the project, we dig to what the job actually needs, not a rough approximation of it.
Material handling is part of the plan, not an afterthought. Dirt that comes out can be hauled off the property, or stockpiled on-site if it's needed later for backfill, whichever fits the project. On deeper excavations, the cut is dug with proper sloping or benching to keep it stable and safe, not carved straight down and left to chance. Before any digging starts, we confirm what's underground, utility locates, and anything you know about your property like irrigation, sprinkler lines, or existing septic, so the excavation goes around what needs to stay untouched.
Access is handled the same way as every DemoRex job: equipment sized to the site, from wide-open lots to backyards with tight gates and limited room to maneuver. And because excavation is usually one piece of a bigger project, it connects naturally into the rest of what we do. Backfill and compaction once the hole's served its purpose, trenching for the lines that need to run through it, or pad prep once the ground's ready for what's being built. One crew can carry a project from the first cut to the finished ground. Every job starts with a free on-site quote, where we look at the depth, the scope, and site access before putting a number on the work.

Every Hole Has a Different Job to Do
Not all excavation looks the same, because it's not all solving the same problem. A pool dig-out is wide and shaped to a design. A foundation cut is precise, following a set of plans down to the inch. A septic excavation is its own kind of careful, working around what's already there and what still needs to connect to it. What ties all of it together isn't the shape of the hole, it's getting the depth, the dimensions, and the ground conditions right the first time, because a hole that's off by a few inches turns into a problem for whatever gets built, poured, or installed in it next.
The work underneath the surface is often the part nobody thinks about until it's their project, but it's the part that decides whether everything built on top of it holds up the way it's supposed to.
